Pattern baldness
  • Almost exclusively affects females
Ehler-Danlos syndrome
  • Also known as cutaneous asthenia
  • Inherited group of diseases
  • May be inherited as an autosomal dominant trait

Haematological conditions

Von Willebrand’s disease
  • Possibly inherited as an autosomal recessive trait
  • Common in this breed in both the USA and UK

Ocular conditions

Lens luxation
  • Breed predisposition
Cataract
  • Inheritance suspected
Generalised progressive retinal atrophy (GPRA)
  • Autosomal recessive inheritance suspected
